Our Biggest Announcement Ever

UPDATE: August 28, 2010 – Well, it’s been about 30 days, and filming is expected to continue for at least another month. So far, the crew have filmed three auctions, several pick ups, and have accompanied us on lots of look-sees. They have captured us exploring beautiful antique architecture, perusing crowded basements, and tip-toeing through some scary settings. They’ve documented us battling stairwells, low ceilings, unbearable heat, and a very stubborn pick up truck. And it’s all been a hell of a lot of fun.

We’d like to thank all of our clients — both buyers and sellers — who have been so cooperative, enthusiastic, and encouraging throughout this process. You rock!

UPDATE: July 27, 2010 – As of Sunday July 25, filming for the documentary has begun. If you would like more details regarding these goings on, give us a call at 570-489-6577 or email us at Questions@SavoAuctioneers.com

Original Post:

We, the Savo Auctioneers, are about to become the subject of a documentary series for a national cable television network.

Last year, we were contacted by an experienced television production company who filmed interviews with us and some of our clients while documenting the many facets of our auction business. The footage they gathered was edited into a “sizzle reel” and the pitching began. Well, the show has been successfully sold to a national cable television network. (We are not yet at liberty to say which network or when the show will air.)

Filming for the documentary series will continue through the end of summer. During that time, the producers will be following us with their cameras to capture the trials and tribulations that we experience as a family team of auctioneers.

Any customers or clients who are interested in participating in the show are certainly welcome.

We will post new details as we are permitted.

This is fabulous! I wonder if you’ll be including those happy days from when you did the “implosion” sale at Ufberg’s Furniture (to make room for Steamtown Mall). Or the “garage” in Carbondale? I admire your family for knowing how to have fun at the same time you are working so hard to be a success……and you have!
